TRACELIO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the purchase and use of Tracelio GPS tracking devices, hardware, applications, connectivity services, subscriptions and related services.
Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing, activating or using a Tracelio product or service.
By purchasing or activating a Tracelio device, creating a Tracelio account or subscribing to a Tracelio service, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. ABOUT TRACELIO
Tracelio is a GPS tracking and connected vehicle security service operated by:
[LEGAL COMPANY NAME]
Trading as: Tracelio
Registered address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS]
Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER, IF APPLICABLE]
Email: [SUPPORT EMAIL]
Website: tracelio.co.uk
In these Terms, "Tracelio", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the entity identified above.
"You" and "your" refer to the person or organisation purchasing or using Tracelio products or services.
2. THE TRACELIO SERVICE
Depending on the device, subscription and features selected, Tracelio may provide:
- GPS/GNSS location tracking;
- current or last reported location;
- location and journey history;
- movement alerts;
- ignition alerts;
- geofencing;
- theft-related or security modes;
- device status information;
- battery or external-power information;
- remote commands;
- compatible immobilisation or engine cut-off functionality;
- SIM/mobile data connectivity;
- mobile and web applications;
- push, email or other notifications;
- device management;
- additional connected vehicle or asset-security features.
Not every feature is available with every device or subscription.
The features included in your particular product or subscription will be displayed during purchase or activation.
3. TRACELIO IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE
Tracelio is a tracking and security-assistance service.
Tracelio does not replace:
- the police;
- emergency services;
- professional alarm monitoring;
- vehicle insurance;
- appropriate physical security.
We do not guarantee that use of Tracelio will prevent theft or result in recovery of a stolen vehicle or asset.
If your vehicle or property is stolen, contact the police where appropriate.
Do not place yourself or another person in danger by attempting to recover stolen property yourself.
4. GPS AND NETWORK LIMITATIONS
Tracelio relies on technologies and infrastructure that are not entirely under our control, including:
- GPS/GNSS satellite systems;
- mobile telecommunications networks;
- SIM and roaming services;
- internet connectivity;
- mapping services;
- device power;
- hosting and server infrastructure.
GPS reception can be reduced or unavailable inside buildings, garages, tunnels, underground locations, shipping containers or other shielded environments.
Mobile coverage may also be unavailable or interrupted.
As a result, locations and alerts may occasionally be:
- delayed;
- unavailable;
- incomplete;
- inaccurate.
A position displayed in the Tracelio application may represent the last successfully reported location rather than the device's exact current location.
Tracelio does not guarantee continuous GPS or mobile network availability.
5. DEVICE CONNECTIVITY
Certain Tracelio products use SIM cards or other connectivity supplied or arranged by Tracelio.
Where connectivity is included with a subscription, it is provided solely for use with the relevant Tracelio device.
You must not remove, misuse, modify or use a Tracelio-provided SIM in another device unless expressly authorised by us.
Connectivity is subject to network coverage, roaming agreements, network-provider policies and technical limitations.
We may change telecommunications providers where reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the service.
6. YOUR ACCOUNT
Certain Tracelio services require an account.
You must provide accurate and current information.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your password confidential;
- protecting access to your account;
- maintaining accurate contact information;
- ensuring devices connected to your account are devices you have authority to track;
- notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may require additional verification before making security-sensitive changes.
7. AUTHORISED TRACKING ONLY
You may only use Tracelio to track vehicles or assets where you have the legal right or appropriate authority to do so.
You must not use Tracelio:
- to unlawfully track another person;
- for stalking or harassment;
- for unlawful surveillance;
- to threaten or intimidate someone;
- in connection with criminal activity;
- in violation of privacy, employment or data protection law.
Where a tracker is used in a vehicle driven by employees, contractors, family members or other people, you are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable law and that any required information, notices or permissions are provided.
We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe Tracelio is being used unlawfully or to cause harm.
8. INSTALLATION
Some Tracelio devices can be self-installed.
Other devices may require connection to a vehicle's electrical system or installation of equipment such as a relay.
You must follow the installation instructions supplied with your device.
Where professional installation is recommended, installation should be carried out by a competent person.
Incorrect installation may cause:
- tracker failure;
- excessive battery drain;
- vehicle electrical problems;
- unreliable tracking;
- loss of connectivity;
- incorrect alerts;
- immobiliser malfunction.
Our commercial warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse or unauthorised modification.
This does not affect any statutory rights you may have where the product itself is faulty.
9. IMMOBILISATION AND ENGINE CUT-OFF
Certain compatible devices may support remote immobilisation or engine cut-off functionality.
This feature must be used responsibly.
You must never intentionally activate an immobilisation function where doing so could create a danger to the driver, passengers, pedestrians or other road users.
Where supported, Tracelio may implement safeguards intended to prevent immobilisation while a vehicle is moving.
Such safeguards do not remove your responsibility to use the feature safely and lawfully.
We may restrict, modify or disable immobilisation functionality where reasonably necessary for safety, legal, security or technical reasons.
10. BATTERIES
Where a Tracelio device contains an internal or backup battery, any quoted battery duration is an estimate.
Actual battery life can vary depending on:
- GPS usage;
- reporting frequency;
- network signal;
- temperature;
- movement;
- alert frequency;
- configuration;
- battery age.
You are responsible for charging rechargeable products and maintaining appropriate power to installed trackers where required.
11. SUBSCRIPTIONS
Certain Tracelio functionality requires an active subscription.
Before subscribing, you will be shown:
- the subscription price;
- billing frequency;
- features included;
- whether the subscription automatically renews.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise us or our payment provider to charge the applicable subscription fee using your selected payment method on each renewal date.
12. CANCELLING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
You may cancel an automatically renewing subscription using the cancellation functionality made available through your Tracelio account or another cancellation method communicated by us.
When you cancel:
future automatic renewals will stop, but your Tracelio service will remain active until the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.
For example, if you have paid for a monthly subscription and cancel halfway through that month, you will normally retain access until the end of that paid monthly period.
Similarly, cancellation of an annual subscription will normally leave the service active until the end of the paid annual period.
Cancellation does not normally produce a pro-rata refund for an already-paid subscription period unless required by law or expressly agreed by Tracelio.
Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
13. FAILED SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS
If a subscription payment fails, we may attempt to collect it again and ask you to update your payment method.
If payment remains outstanding, we may suspend subscription-dependent functionality, including:
- live tracking;
- location updates;
- journey history;
- alerts;
- mobile connectivity;
- remote commands.
Service may be restored after successful payment or reactivation of an appropriate subscription.
14. PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices will be displayed before you confirm your order.
Applicable delivery charges and recurring fees will also be disclosed before purchase where required.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Where payment information is handled directly by our payment processor, Tracelio does not need to store your complete payment card details.
15. SUBSCRIPTION PRICE CHANGES
We may change subscription prices from time to time.
Price changes will not retrospectively affect subscription periods that have already been paid for.
Where a price change affects an existing recurring subscription, we will provide appropriate advance notice where required.
You may cancel the subscription before the new price applies.
16. ORDERS
After placing an order, you may receive an electronic order confirmation.
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- the product is unavailable;
- there is an obvious pricing error;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- fraud is reasonably suspected;
- we cannot legally supply the product.
Where we cancel an order after receiving payment and the relevant product or service has not been supplied, the relevant amount will be refunded.
17. DELIVERY
Available delivery methods, charges and estimated delivery times will be shown during checkout where applicable.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
If an order is delayed, lost or damaged during delivery, please contact us so that we can investigate and provide any remedy required by applicable law.
18. 14-DAY CANCELLATION RIGHT FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
If you are a UK consumer purchasing eligible goods online or through another qualifying distance contract, you normally have the right to change your mind and cancel the purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable law and any lawful exceptions.
To exercise this right, you must clearly inform us of your decision to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
You then have the applicable statutory period to return the goods.
The product should be returned with the accessories and other items originally supplied with it where applicable.
You may inspect a product in the way you reasonably could in a physical shop.
Where handling goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, we may make a deduction from the refund where permitted by law to reflect any reduction in value.
19. RETURN SHIPPING FOR CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
For a return made solely because you changed your mind under the applicable cancellation right:
you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the product to Tracelio, unless we expressly agree otherwise or applicable law requires Tracelio to pay that cost.
We recommend using an appropriate tracked delivery service.
You remain responsible for taking reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession.
Different rules may apply where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
20. REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION
Where you validly exercise a statutory cancellation right, we will issue the refund required by applicable law.
Where required, this may include the price paid and the applicable standard outbound delivery charge.
Additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method than our standard option may not be refundable where permitted by law.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
We may wait until we receive returned goods or appropriate evidence that they have been sent back where applicable law permits us to do so.
21. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
The change-of-mind return policy is separate from your legal rights where goods are:
- faulty;
- damaged;
- not as described;
- not of satisfactory quality;
- not fit for their intended purpose.
If you believe a product is faulty, contact Tracelio.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable consumer law, you may be entitled to remedies including:
- repair;
- replacement;
- price reduction;
- refund.
Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.
Where a product is genuinely faulty or incorrectly supplied and applicable law requires us to bear reasonable return costs, the customer will not be required to pay those costs.
22. TRACELIO 12-MONTH COMMERCIAL WARRANTY
In addition to your statutory consumer rights, Tracelio provides a 12-month commercial hardware warranty on eligible Tracelio-branded tracking devices purchased directly from Tracelio.
The warranty begins on the date the product is delivered to you.
Subject to the exclusions below, if an eligible device develops a manufacturing or hardware defect during the warranty period, Tracelio may, as appropriate:
- repair the device;
- replace it with the same model;
- replace it with an equivalent product where the original model is unavailable.
This commercial warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace, restrict or reduce those rights.
23. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The Tracelio commercial warranty does not cover problems caused by circumstances such as:
- accidental damage;
- misuse;
- deliberate damage;
- incorrect installation;
- installation contrary to supplied instructions;
- unauthorised modification;
- unauthorised repair;
- physical damage caused by an accident;
- incorrect electrical connection;
- incorrect voltage;
- damage caused by incompatible equipment;
- normal wear and tear;
- loss or theft of the device;
- cosmetic damage that does not affect operation.
Water or moisture damage is covered only to the extent that the relevant product is expressly specified as having protection suitable for the conditions in which it was used.
Opening or modifying the device in a way not authorised by Tracelio may invalidate the commercial warranty where the modification caused or contributed to the fault.
These exclusions apply to our additional commercial warranty and do not remove statutory rights relating to defects that existed in the goods or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
24. WARRANTY CLAIMS
To make a claim under the Tracelio commercial warranty, contact:
[SUPPORT EMAIL]
We may ask for:
- your order number;
- device identifier;
- description of the problem;
- photographs or video where relevant;
- diagnostic information;
- proof of purchase.
We may require the device to be returned for inspection.
If the device is covered by the commercial warranty, we will provide the applicable remedy without charging you for the covered hardware defect.
25. DIGITAL SERVICES DURING A CANCELLATION PERIOD
Different statutory cancellation rules may apply to services and digital content.
Where you expressly request that a paid service starts during an applicable cancellation period, this may affect the amount refundable if you later cancel.
Where the law requires express consent or acknowledgement before digital content or services begin, we will obtain it separately where appropriate.
26. SOFTWARE LICENCE
Subject to these Terms, Tracelio grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Tracelio software for its intended purpose.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you must not:
- copy or redistribute our software;
- reverse engineer our proprietary software;
- bypass security systems;
- gain unauthorised access;
- interfere with Tracelio servers;
- manipulate device communications;
- deliberately overload or disrupt the service.
27. SOFTWARE AND FIRMWARE UPDATES
We may provide updates to:
- applications;
- device firmware;
- servers;
- security systems;
- other Tracelio software.
Updates may improve functionality, address vulnerabilities, fix errors or maintain compatibility.
Certain updates may be necessary for secure or reliable continued operation.
28. MAPS AND LOCATION INFORMATION
Mapping, addresses, geocoding and related information may be provided partly through third-party technology.
GPS information should be treated as an aid rather than a guaranteed representation of an asset's exact position.
Tracelio should not be relied upon as the sole system for navigation, emergency response or another safety-critical purpose.
29. ALERTS
Tracelio may provide push notifications, email alerts or other notifications.
Delivery can depend on:
- tracker connectivity;
- GPS reception;
- mobile networks;
- your internet connection;
- your phone;
- notification permissions;
- operating-system restrictions;
- third-party services.
We therefore cannot guarantee that every notification will be delivered immediately or successfully.
30. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Temporary interruption may occur because of:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- network failures;
- telecommunications outages;
- hosting failures;
- cybersecurity incidents;
- third-party outages;
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, we will seek to minimise disruption.
31. THIRD-PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE
Tracelio may rely on third-party technologies and infrastructure for:
- payment processing;
- telecommunications;
- SIM connectivity;
- mapping;
- hosting;
- application distribution;
- tracking-server infrastructure.
Our infrastructure may include technology such as Traccar or other compatible tracking systems.
Use of third-party infrastructure does not remove responsibilities that applicable consumer law places directly on Tracelio.
32. PRIVACY AND LOCATION DATA
Use of Tracelio involves processing information including GPS locations and device information.
Our handling of personal information is explained in the Tracelio Privacy Policy, which forms an important part of the Tracelio service.
You should read the Privacy Policy before using Tracelio.
33. LOCATION HISTORY
The amount of location and journey history available may depend on your subscription.
Location history is not intended to function as permanent archival storage.
We may delete or anonymise information according to our data-retention policies and applicable law.
Relevant retention information is described in our Privacy Policy.
34. DEVICE OWNERSHIP AND TRANSFER
If you sell or permanently transfer a tracked vehicle or asset, you must remove the tracker or follow the Tracelio device-transfer process.
You must not continue tracking property after you cease to have lawful authority to do so.
Subscriptions, accounts and historical location information do not automatically transfer with ownership of the physical tracker.
We may require evidence of legitimate ownership before transferring a device between accounts.
35. ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use Tracelio:
- unlawfully;
- fraudulently;
- to stalk or harass;
- to infringe another person's rights;
- to access another user's information;
- to interfere with Tracelio systems;
- to bypass subscription restrictions;
- to tamper with a Tracelio SIM or connectivity service;
- to carry out unauthorised surveillance.
Serious misuse may result in immediate suspension.
36. SUSPENSION
We may suspend some or all services where reasonably necessary because of:
- non-payment;
- fraud;
- security concerns;
- unlawful use;
- serious breach of these Terms;
- risk to another person;
- technical emergencies;
- legal requirements.
Where reasonably appropriate, we will provide information about the reason for suspension and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
37. TERMINATION
We may terminate an account or subscription in circumstances including serious or repeated breach, fraud, unlawful use or where continued provision would be unlawful.
Any refund due will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
38. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for:
- correctly installing and using the device;
- maintaining device power where required;
- keeping login credentials secure;
- maintaining an appropriate payment method;
- ensuring lawful use of tracking;
- checking that your device is operating;
- keeping your account information current.
39. NO GUARANTEE AGAINST THEFT
Tracelio is intended to assist with tracking and security.
Tracelio does not guarantee prevention of theft or recovery of stolen property.
You should continue to use appropriate physical security and insurance.
40. INSURANCE
Tracelio is not an insurer unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate regulated service.
Use of Tracelio does not guarantee that an insurance company will:
- reduce your premium;
- approve the tracker;
- provide theft cover;
- accept tracking information;
- pay a claim.
You should confirm insurance requirements directly with your insurer.
41. OUR LIABILITY
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of statutory consumer rights;
- other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.
Tracelio does not insure the value of the vehicle or asset being tracked.
42. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law.
Examples may include major telecommunications outages, satellite failures, widespread internet failures, natural disasters and government actions.
This provision does not remove rights that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
43. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Tracelio name, branding, logos, application design, original software, website content and documentation are owned by or licensed to Tracelio.
Purchasing a product or subscription does not transfer ownership of Tracelio intellectual property to you.
44. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE
We may modify Tracelio over time to:
- introduce features;
- improve security;
- maintain compatibility;
- comply with law;
- improve reliability.
Where a change materially disadvantages an existing paid consumer service, we will provide any notice or remedies required by applicable law.
45. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms because of changes in:
- law;
- regulation;
- security;
- technology;
- products;
- Tracelio services.
Material changes affecting existing paid services will be communicated where required.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued.
46. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint, contact:
[SUPPORT EMAIL]
Please provide sufficient information to identify your order, account or device and explain the issue.
We will seek to investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
47. GOVERNING LAW
If you are a consumer resident in England or Wales, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections.
Consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain mandatory rights available to them regarding applicable law and jurisdiction.
Consumers outside the United Kingdom may also have mandatory protections under the laws applicable to them that cannot lawfully be excluded.
48. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
49. NO WAIVER
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
50. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with:
- your order information;
- applicable subscription information;
- the Tracelio Privacy Policy;
- any additional terms expressly presented during purchase;
form the agreement between you and Tracelio.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or removes information that applicable consumer law treats as binding.
